USA Hockey Registration
Prior to the 2010-11 season SMS registered its players with USA Hockey as part of the SMS registration process. The USA Hockey and Mass Hockey fees were included in your SMS fees. Starting this season, USA Hockey requires that all players register directly on their site. However, SMS is still required to provide each player’s USA Hockey Confirmation Number when we submit the team rosters so we need each parent to provide us the numbers they receive from USA Hockey.
Below are the directions. We tried to simplify them as much as possible.
Step 1. Getting USA Hockey Confirmation Numbers
2. Click on “Ice Players and Coaches”
3. Click on the checkbox that indicates you are 18 years or older and then click “Continue”
4. Click Continue on the 2010-11 Season.
5. Click on a “Child Family Member” and then click “Continue”
6. Complete the Participant Information form and click “Continue to Checkout”
7. If you have another child to register click on “Register Someone Else” and repeat steps 2-6. If this is your last child continue to step 8.
8. Click the confirmation checkbox(s) and then click on “Continue”
9. Enter your billing information and click “Pay Now”. Your bill should equal $35 times the number of players you registered.
10. You should receive an email (one per child) with your USA Hockey Confirmation Number almost immediately. If you are not sure if you received the email you should print or copy down the confirmation numbers from the Registration Confirmation page.
Step 2. ***Inputting USA Hockey Confirmation Numbers - YOU must complete.
2. Click on “Edit My Account” (bottom of left hand navigation pane)
3. Login with email and password. If you have forgotten your password leave it blank and it will be emailed to you.
4. Click on your child’s name
5. Enter the Confirmation Number your received from USA Hockey in the field labeled “USA Hockey Confirmation #”. Enter the entire number including the letters (e.g. 139900644TAVIS)
6. Click the “Submit” button
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for any other players you registered with USA Hockey.
Should you have any problems, feel free to contact the registrar.
